Lots of fun until an old lady decided trading piggy back rides with each other was too much PDA... The life guard that had to tell us to "calm it down" was pretty chill about it though. Couldn't catch his name. (If the staff reads this, just tell the life guards I was the guy with the ponytail that couldn't hear what you were saying.)
Also, they have curtained showers(at least in the men's locker room)... In theory that's fine... But when you have cheeky, mischievous 3 year olds running around pulling curtains for a laugh, it becomes a problem. Y'all need to add hooks on the walls and eyelets on the curtain sides or something to keep the curtains secure. Star for that I'm afraid. (Not the PDA thing. That was a problem with a specific patron. If you could give people reviews I'd give that lady a one star review for not even bothering to address us directly. Also, we know it was that lady because she was the only one that even gave us a glance, and she was giving us a death glare the entire time we were there. 😂 Like, literally the entire time, up to us going back into the lockers.)
We went here for a birthday party, the slide, the lazy river, and the hot tub were all closed. The only things open were the kids play area and the deep end (which doesn’t allow life jackets?!?) so disappointing. This is not the first time this has happened either… and on a Saturday?!? This rec center needs to get it together or people will just go to other ones and they will lose their income of the pool. My nieces birthday party is ruined because of this. And the thing that makes me the most mad, the head lifeguard and two other lifeguards are sitting in the office, and there is one pacing back and forth in a pool not even opened. Manage the staff better so you can do a better job of keeping things open.
Super awesome very family and kids friendly. Spacious and very clean.
I read about the lifeguard shortage. The shortage has effected me and patrons alike. With that said, here's a kudo to of the guards who keep it going. THANK YOU! Here's a focused thanks to a guard who I believe his name is Kale, he is extremely helpful and seems to take the job seriously . Thanks
This is a great place to work out. They have all kinds of fitness machines for every part of your body and many classes as well for people 16 and and older. Parking is ample, and there is wheelchair access, handicap parking, and an elevator so that it is available for everybody. There is track upstairs (10x around = 1 mile) along with additional machines. Love swimming in the pool and water walking, but the pool area is closed right now, unknown when it will reopen. The facility is always clean, and the staff is helpful. They also have classes for children, I'm not sure if it's day camp or if it's for people there working out. They have put a new splash pad and tables in and also have baseball diamonds, a skate park, etc. in the back of the Aquatic & Rec Center. Awesome facility.
I am here 5 days a week. The group classes are great. The instructors keep you moving and pushing. Can't wait for the pool to reopen, I miss the early morning aquatics class. Also looking forward to the expansion of the lap pool.
This recreation center allows children unsupervised to play on exercise equipment. Three boys were intentionally trying to hurt patrons in the weight room above and were kicking basketball's at them . I got hit extremely hard on a weight machine and told the staff about it and they did nothing to the kids .
Best place to exercise ever! Great track, pool, courts and large variety of weights!
